House : The Tritter arc should have been the last
Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Tritter was a self-important jerk and they never should have done that horrible storyline. Why on earth would they want to end the show there?!
Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
I hatted Tritter too, but if they were going to do the homage to Sherlock Holmes why not with the confrontation with his biggest enemy which in this series seems like it was Tritter the equivalent to Moriarty.
Insted of House faking his death we would have had The trial as the last fight where House wins and makes his big comeback to PPTH.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Tritter was a weak antagonist from him and a arch enemy as House's final season would be lame and not heartfelt like we actually got.
Let's face it, someone like Twitter was never going to win against the show's hero, House.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
I think Tritter gave a big battle.
Sure the point is that we hate him because we are rooting for House but he made our Hero suffer a lot, especially almost at the end of the arc.
He turned everyone against House.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Tritter was a rude bully that tripped a man with a cane because he thought House didn't take him seriously and was rude. Sure House humiliated him with the rectal thermometer but he seriously over-reacted to the whole thing. He wasted a huge amount of police and court resources on a personal vendetta that only would have made the rectal thermometer incident public knowledge which would have been extremely humiliating to Tritter.
Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Ohhh yes he was a Bully with capital letters and the idiot thought House didn't give him the right Diagnosis but he did. He just wanted to get things his way and proved he had power as well.
Doesn't ring you any bells to anyone who have seen the BBC Sherlock?
He is clearly the equivalent to Moriarty: he has some traits of our Hero like the the brain, power and influences in his field but unlike House and Sherlock he uses it an evil way.
That's Moriarty Sherlock biggest enemy because he is as good in his job as Sherlock but uses his power for torture and evil porpoises, just like Tritter.
Its obvious Tritter had to be creepy and we most hate him with Passion since he is House enemy he is trying to do everything to destroy him but like Sherlock Holmes House is the one who ends up winning destroying Tritter/Moriarty.
Why not instead everyone really believing House was death everyone except Wilson helped him with his plan to latter reveal he is alive and back to Princeton. Just exactly like Sherlock Holmes did in the BBC series.
Tritter as much as we despised him we have to admit he was a good villain, this second time not but the first time i watched House i thought how the hell will he get out of the problem he got into. I thought he almost had no way out.
Now on the other hand Guy Ritchie ended up A game of Shadows in the same open ending as House where he faked his death and we know he leaves but no one else. So if we think of the Films from Guy Ritchie Shore made the right choice but if we looked at the BBC series we wished we have seen House making his comeback after his big fight.
So you decide which Sherlock Holmes faking his death do we prefer The BBC series or the Guy Ritchie films, House final resembles more the show by blocking him every clean exit where his only choice is faking death and seems like everything has turned against him but the small cliffhanger of seeing House alive but almost no else knows it and going on with their lives resembles more the ending of Game of Shadows.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
They named the guy that shot House Moriarty.
Tritter was just a sad little man unworthy of being House's Arch-Enemy.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
I know but it didn't make that much relevance, it was just one shot and the whole episode was an allucination, they just used the name but they didn't make the proper arc with him just like with Rebecca Adler it would have been nice an arc with a woman like Irene Adler but they just made a reference to that woman in the Pilot.
Anyway i still they did gave a similar to Adler in Kate from the Episode Frozen or even Stacy was the representation if that character.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
The Tritter arc was a low-point in the show's run, same with the Vogler arc. It was the result of network medelling. The network thought there needed to be a villain for House to go up against like other shows but it wasn't necessary with House. House was always his own worst enemy. He was slowly poisoning himself with Vicodin and was constantly shooting himself in the foot. If it weren't for Wilson House probably would have self-destructed completely after his infarction.
Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
The Tritter arc was a parody on US-America's insane war on drugs.
Yes! That's why I don't find House's actions after Cuddy dumped him out of character. Wilson told Stacy that he was there to pick up the pieces after she left House after the infarction. So it was clear to me right of the start that House will go off the rails when the relationship with Cuddy fails, which was also clear to me right from the start since David Shore doesn't do happily ever after love relationships on the show House MD.
And that's one of the reasons why I think that House won't last for long after Wilson's death.
Hugh Laurie also thinks something like that, according to an interview he gave.
House to Wilson about Cuddy: She is not some floozy in a bar. She is the floozy I work for.
If it weren't for Wilson House probably would have self-destructed completely after his infarction.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Mmmm im not sure if he was really all that self destructive, he had his bad moments but i think Wilson underestimated him and he was highly functional. The whitedrawls were quite dangerous and that's why he had his support from his teammates but ultimately he was a very reasonable men.
Actuallyi suppose the ultra self destructive mode was added to compete with the Darker shows like breaking bad and Dexter. Re watching the show again has confirmed what i thought the series would have been better without a single Downspiral or msybe just one almost at the end so he could fake his death to latter comeback at Princeton.
I just re finished Frozen and when House told Kate yeah we can now go to my fixing she said who said you needed to be fixed?
Stacy thought so as well so the the big downspirals we got in season 5 and 7 I think were to compete with the big bad boys like Walter White which the second downspiral turned out to be really hatted and Shore had to step back a little.

Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Did you not watch the Vogler or Tritter arcs at all? He kept shooting himself in the foot again and again.
Re: The Tritter arc should have been the last
Of course i did its just that i see those as moments acting out of desperation and with Vogler he didn't react that bad. with Vogler it was judt a war of Power and House was acting according to his own principles it was with Tritter when he really lost it and kept shooting himself in the foot.
House didn't know how far things would and his desperation made him go of the rails but at the end House was a man of reason and had his own boundaries

I agree, these two arcs were boring and seemed a little uninspired for a show as great as House. People complain about the final season but these two arcs were way worse than anything I saw on S8.
The Tritter arc should have been the last
That way instead of House faking his death he would have gone from a whitedrawl to a big comeback.
That would have been a more epic ending, instead of the allucinations at the beginning of the last episode we would have had that big fight as the trial and then he goes back to PPTH.
Tritter should have been his last enemy not himself like they did it.
