House : Every streaming service which has this series should come with a Warning

Which says: After finishing this series you won't be able to finish any other series which is not with Hugh Laurie.

Its ridiculous. Ive 4 series after House which doesn't involve Hugh Laurie and haven't been able to finish them.
First it was Nurse Jackie and left it because Eddie Falco didn't have the X factor i thought she wasn't as good as Hugh switching from drama to comedy and the other way around, Sherlock i felt Benedict was too Young for the part, Johnny Lee Miller too milenial and James Spader in the blacklist not so comanding prescence.


4 Failures it's not the actors its me no one is good enough or engaging enough for me, its driving me nuts lol.

Please don't tell me to try Dexter or Breaking bad, I watched a few episodes of each before House and while they aren't bad they wont satisfy me. House comes with a spell and should be warned on streaming services and the dvds and blue ray packs.

The series House MD and especially its early seasons have spoiled me and set the bar very high for other shows. Albeit it's not that extreme that I only endure a few episodes. There are a lot of shows, which I love and enjoy to watch, but they lack the icing on the cake, which makes House MD special.
Especially when I watch shows in a hospital of medical setting, I often find myself thinking how cool it would be if Dr. Gregory House would come limping around the corner.

This is exactly why after Nurse Jackie i haven't tried another hospital drama, i will only try the first 5 seasons of ER when it comes to Netflix because i already know i do like George Clooney but apart from that i only tried Nurse Jackie.

"Nurse Jackie" was an abysmal vanity project for Falco and to me, a mirthless ripoff on "House." The death of multicam has made audiences and critics forget that so-called comedies are supposed to be actually funny. "House" was about a thousand times wittier and it was considered a drama.

Sure they exist its just that Hugh got me addicted to his acting style too much. The only shows ive been able to finish after House are The Night Manager and Chance.

Ive tried shows which are slightly similar to House but with no success to finish them.

Why not just watch House again start to finish?

Ive been thinking about it seriously, but then i think it might be silly considering there are many shows to try and explore.

When i first started watching House it was during a marathon on a cable channel. They had just started airing the reruns and for like a year or so afterwards they had several episodes on practically every night.

I ended up watching House every night and on weekends to the point where i barely watched anything else. I was watching out of order and trying to watch the new episodes on Fox. It was confusing with the new team.

I ended up buying the dvds and watching from the beginning in order also catching reruns on tv as well.

It was almost a bit of a relief when they stopped airing it on tv so much so i could actually watch other shows and leave the house on weekends.

i watched the whole show in a month thanks to Netflix and after i finished i recwatched some of the episodes i liked the most with my dad and latter with my sister but both of them gave up on the show for being too repetitive. They don't like procedural shows and i thought i didn't like them either but House is different.

Its a character study series and procedural show at the same time.


Anyway Mexico's Netflix still has House but im gonna buy it in case they take it off their catalog.

A lot of crappy shows to try and explore I got myself the BluRay box set and loving it.

Come on. I love "House" but "Sherlock" is one the best written, produced and acted shows of the past twenty years (IMHO). It's not eve fair to compare them even with their Conan Doyle connection.

That could be one reason why it's hard to find anything else you like as much. Watching eight seasons in a month you probably wish you could start over as if you never saw and savor it and watch at a slower pace.
I watched from the start but around season five I started was the first four seasons for the first time since the originally aired. Some I hadn't seen at all. I was going through an intense time and House was a great distraction. I felt like I rediscovered it and watched almost fanatically. Before I liked the show but I felt like I was picking up on things I didn't pay as much attention to before.
Now I watch an episode here and there and I don't have a problem finding other shows. Drama wise Call The Midwife is my current favorite.

Now with Hugh yes he is one of the more unique actors. I need to watch Night Manager closer when I can.
I love his role in Sense and Sensibility but it should be a bigger role!

I don't know if you would like Grey's Anatomy. I like it but it can get annoying. I much prefer Call the Midwife and Murdoch Mysteries.

Thats a great excuse to watch it again, i watched it too fast so it needs a second round lol and to do it that way interchange with the black list.

Mondays Wednesday and Friday House tusday, Saturday and Sunday the blacklist. Hehe. Because if i go everyday with House i will get very addicted to it again.

I recommend that you watch Firefly.

Not that it's similar to House but it's just damn good writing.

But if you end up loving it, you'll come away with a broken heart cos Fox cancelled it after just 14 episodes.

Recommending Firefly is like recommending someone pour salt into their eyes. It'll only end in tears.

Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.

Try out Dark Angel! Especially its first season is amazing. Doris Egan who was one of the writers and producers on House was involved in the series back then. Besides, Max/Logan is one of my favorite pairings on TV.
Firefly is a nice series but since its existence is joint responsible for Dark Angel's premature end, watching it left a sour aftertaste.

Yes! The one with Jessica Alba.
It only looks like a teen show on the surface. But the scripts are very well written and many aspects in the series resemble future real life events so much that I have got the feeling that there must be psychics among TPTB. Maybe that the events in the series hit too close to home is one of the reasons for the premature end.
