Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
Even Stacy's facial expression after hearing Linda's tears letter to her BF toward the end of the film, looked as though she knew it was all BS
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
Thats my impression, too. Her college boyfriend is probably fictional. She made everything up and lead her friend astray.
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
In the tv series it was revealed the she made the whole thing up. but in the movie it's hard to say. She really cried when she got the breakup letter. That'd be a little overboard if there wasn't some kind of real relationship there.
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
Whether Linda made up her boyfriend or not is irrelavent, she still taught Stacy how to orally pleasure men and that's all that matters. Like the old saying goes: once you learn how to ride a bike, you never forget!
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
There's no way it's bogussome of it's embellished, maybe; there's doubt as to whether she climaxes always, etc. But Linda's so open, so artless, and so touchingly devoted to Stacy, can you really see such a grand deception? It would mean a MAJOR twist, and there's nothing to base it on. I have a good friend who's exactly like Linda and trust me, they're the real deal. The actual importance of her relationship may be inflated (in her own head). but it no doubt exists. And don't forget, she quickly starts living with her abnormal psych professor. She ain't no virgin.
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
It was a real relationship obviously, because of the tears, so she actually broke up with someone. Was the relationship everything she related to Stacey and was she as experienced as she let on? Probably not, but I don't think she was a virgin.
I think she really did a number on Stacey, not that it's totally her fault, but at that age what your friends and peers think and say is everything.

Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
There is absolutely no question that Doug was a made-up, nonexistent person.
Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
wonder if Stacy ever met him. since they're besties & all.

Re: I actually think Linda was a ………….
In the book she isn't and really had a college boyfriend.
However, to an extent she is the female version of Damone in both the book and movie. She plays herself as much more experienced, knowledgeable, and worldly than she really is.

I actually think Linda was a ………….
She fudged her answer on how long it took for Doug to climax and she had no idea how much climax a man gave up. I think she played the part so as to seem cool
I'll just stand over here being happy
