This site is closing. It might as well be since the comment section is going away.


Without the message boards there isn't any reason to use this site.

Talking with people is one of the top features on the Internet.


Another stupid decision by this site. I am done.

Hopefully I will be doing more with my site. I have my own message board.

Any site that doesn't have comments is worthless.

Wow, not sure I even would have noticed the message if Cezar didn't start this post. Primarily the reason I come to IMDB is to use the boards. However, to look up actors/actresses and see if they were in a certain movie is still something I do from time to time.

Reading the rationale for them shutting down the boards, I laughed at this:

"After in-depth discussion and examination, we have concluded that IMDb's message boards are no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide."

Oh well, over time, everything changes.

This is bulls#!+. I believe that,overall,these message boards have been a very positive experience. It's very helpful in getting other people's opinions and learning things from them. sure,we can still check out info on movies and films on this site. But without the ability to chat with others,it will really feel pointless to even come here. Maybe IMDb will realize the mistake they made by year's end. Hopefully they will reopen the boards and let us have our discussions again. Traffic on this site will decrease greatly without these boards.

To be honest,I think it might just be the small number of trolls that keep causing headaches for others as a reason for the closing. IMDb has never wanted any real part of dealing with them. Why else would they say it's no longer the fun and useful environment that it once was?

this had to be an excuse. gonna guess this was a cut costing measure and cut backs. I haven't used it in awhile but this is pretty stupid. you can expect traffic to be cut by 2/3rds.

Well, looks like harlemsushi is losing his kingdom (the TNA board). He and his royal subject, Say_Something_Emerald, have to find some other place to take over. The unwitting good citizens of Harlemsushiland, unfortunately have to move on just like the ones that he "put in irons" including yours truly, though. I would have liked to have continued my quest to take him down like God did to King Nebuchadnezzar in the Book of Daniel, but I have been consumed in a personal project for a while (it's not keeping the crumbs licked off the floor in harlemushi's dungeon).

Meanwhile, Impact has been interesting with Corgan gone and Dixie out of power. No onscreen authority figures now. After all this time of TNA and WWE having them, it feels like the inmates are running the asylum but doing a fair job at it. I hope things will pick up for Impact soon now. No more of this Hardy fantasyland stuff. That whole episode of it was terrible and embarrassing.
